Color blocking

Color blocking is taking pieces in solid colors, usually brights, and pairing them together. It’s also a name for articles of clothing which have large blocks of color as the main print.
When color blocking, look for pieces in colors that complement one another. Popular spring colors include “Tangerine Tango” (oh, Pantone) which is a slightly more orange color than this skirt. Tip: for a really graphic effect when color blocking, choose fabrics with similar textures and then add texture with accessories.
